Ball Rice Cakes


Tuesday lunch and tea.This dish is a kind of rice cakes. It is very simple to make and children love it. Cooked rice balls are coated with sponge cake crumbs. The brown-ish balls in the middle are coated with a mix of sponge cake crumbs, cocoa powder and a pinch of  cinnamon powder. The balls are made from the simple sweet rice powder dough made of sweet rice powder and water. The balls are added into the the pot of boiling water. When cooked they are floated on the surface of the boiling water. After cooked they are washed in the cold water and coated with any dried coating such as sponge cake crumbs, grounded nuts, grounded roasted beans.
